Interactive installation with three glass recycling containers, Berlin

The glass recycling containers on Weinbergsweg, Berlin, control the light inside the gallery 'Andreas Wendt'.Installed inside each container is a sensor, which sends a signal to a receiving station inside the gallery. When the sensor detects a bottle thrown into the container, the gallery lighting changes to brown, white, or green respectively. The combination of these two everyday events in the public space, the glass recycling / window illumination, instills in us a curious awareness of our built environment.
